The Renfro Valley Barn Dance - John Lair's Gift To Kentucky & The USA

In the late 1930s, John Lair and others purchased land in Rockcastle County for his Renfro Valley Barn Dance. The project grew into not only a national radio show, but a major tourist attraction. From its very beginning noted singers, dancers, and other performers appeared on the stage at Renfro Valley. Today, the tradition continues.
