Mary Rister on 5/19/1848, Carter Co. 1850 census shows they had 2 sons, John (my grandfather) and Patterson. 1860 census shows Mary with John, Richard, and Isaac. No further trace of Fieldings or Patterson. Mary Carpenter m. Francis Marion Wilburn, 3/17/1864, had one son, Marian who m. Nannie Montgomery, lived in Russell, Ky., until his death in 1913, "killed by a train." John, Marian and Nannie's son, went out west. A dau., Zuda, m. a Runyon.

Searching for any info. on Quintice Coffey and his half-brother, Baxter "Bank" Coffey. Quintice, son of Joel and Permilia (Haynes) Coffey, b. 1844, Russell Co., Ky., m. Francis Ann Blakey on 2/22/1866, 6/14/1914, at Easton, Buchannon Co., Mo. Baxter, son of Joel and Mary Ann (Mann) Coffey, b. 1857, Russell Co., was never married, d. possibly late 1800s or early 1900s. Was delivering groceries by team and wagon from Campbellsville, Ky., to Russell Springs, Ky. Got caught in a snow blizzard and froze to death. Any info. helpful and appreciated.
