Info. Wanted Regarding
Col. Solomon P. Sharp Photo

Dear Editor:
I read with interest the article on page 43 of the May 2015 issue of The Kentucky Explorer entitled "Political Acerbity: A Century of Encounters in Kentucky."
Accompanying the article was an image of Col. Solomon P. Sharp. Is this a photo of the portrait painted by Kentucky artist Matthew Harris Jouett which is listed in Mrs. Martin's Catalogue of Paintings by Matthew Harris Jouett (1939) as #406.
Any information that can be provided by readers of The Kentucky Explorer about the present location, images, or ownership of Jouett's works would be appreciated.

Info. Wanted On Chelsea Kumer/Coomer
Dear Editor:
There was a little girl who used to collect coal on the railroad tracks down around Oakdale, Breathitt County, Kentucky. She sold it to offer help for the start of Mt. Carmel School.
This little girl was Chelsea Kumer/Coomer, who was probably born ca. 1915-1920.
Anyone with any information on Chelsea, please contact me.
