girl at the waterpail is probably the granddaughter of Clyde
(didn't give last name), daughter of Lori (no last name).
Bill Stocker, 512 Stoneybrook Drive, Danville, KY 40422, shares
this photo and writes: "My great-grandparents, James Monroe
Stocker and Nancy McClelland Motley, were married on March 10,
1881, near the tiny community of Baldwin, Madison County, Kentucky.
Their children are shown with James and Nancy in this photo taken
ca 1902. Front row, William Green Stocker (my grandfather), James
Monroe Stocker, and Nancy McClelland Motley Stocker (holding
Elias Clayton Stocker). Back row, l-r: Ruby Alice Stocker (who
passed away two years after this photo was taken), Genora Stocker,
Steva Rollie Stocker, Jefferson James Stocker, John Lewis Stocker,
and Josephine Stocker. Another daughter, Ethel Lennis Stocker,
was born in 1904."
Zackary Halcomb, age 8, of Milford Ohio, won the Huckleberry
Finn contest in 1991 at the Ohio River Sternwheel Festival in
1991 and was presented with a $50 savings bond. He is shown with
Miss Sternwheel, Heather French, who was later Miss Louisville
1999, Miss Kentucky 1999, and Miss America 2000. Miss French
married Kentucky Lieutenant Governor Steve Henry in October 2000.
Zackary is the son of Wayne and Sabrina Halcomb of Milford, Ohio.
His grandmother, Georgia M. Brock, 282 Old Oakland Road, Brooksville,
KY 41004, shares this photo with our readers.
These men were members of the Breathitt County Emergency Rescue
Squad in Jackson, Kentucky, in the 1960s. Front row, l-r: Barlow

photo, says that one of the most memorable occasions of which
this team served was when Lady Bird Johnson dedicated the new
Breathitt County Coliseum in May 1964. The group worked with
the United States Secret Service and served as "honor guard"
for the First Lady.
