White Gingerbread Recipe

Dear Editor:
My mother, Lillie Johnson, lived above Weeksbury (Floyd County, Kentucky) with her parents, David Dock and Laurena Hall Johnson, in the early 1900s. Mom always made a delicious white gingerbread.
When I was eight months old (1928), we lived in Dad's hometown in Wisconsin. All of us loved the gingerbread recipe. I was abroad when Mom died. When I got home, my sister was emptying our home. She might have taken the recipes, and I never thought to inquire, as we were all under stress.
If a reader knows of such a recipe, I would really like to have a copy of it.
The last sister of Mom's family of 13 died recently. She was 101, and I never thought to ask her about her recipes.
I do hope someone can help. As a diabetic, I probably could not eat the gingerbread, but at 85 I might risk one piece.

Need Information
Dear Editor:
I am looking for any information, photos, or stories pertaining to the area where Sugar Creek runs into the Kentucky River in Garrard County.
At one time, there was a small town and a shipping point with a ferry called Quantico. Over time the town disappeared, but into the 1920s the locale remained an entertainment area which offered steamboat rides, picnics, and large fish frys with entertainment.
I would like any information, including anything about the families who lived in the area, for my book.
Thanks for any help.
