These are the daughters of Madison "Matt" and Rachel Madden Lee. Madison, the son of James Lee and Margaret Laskey/Lasley Lee, was born in 1849 in Wythe County, Virginia, and died in 1928 in Jackson County, Kentucky. Sitting in front is Rhoda Lee Schroeder; behind her is Minerva Lee Johnson; Margaret Lee (it is told Margaret died soon after this photo was taken), never married; and Elnora Lee Sparks. Standing, l-r: Sarah Frances Lee Farmer, Mary Ellen Lee Ambrose, Lilly Lee Wilder, and Martha Jane Lee Wilder. The photo was taken in Jackson or Owsley County ca. 1900. Carey Gabbard, 959 E. Sally's Branch Road, London, KY 40741, shares this photo and would like to hear from any descendants of the Lee family. She is the granddaugther of Mary Ellen Lee Ambrose.
