Reader Queries

Each month, The Kentucky Explorer magazine receives literally scores of letters from our faithful readers. Among those letters we often find queries, ranging from requests for words to songs and poems to trying to locate former classmates and military buddies of long ago.

Here are a few queries from

December 2011/January 2012

Photos Wanted
Of Old Depot At Campton

Dear Editor:
Each month I enjoy the stories and the family-shared photos and memories in The Kentucky Explorer.
I am interested in any photos of the old depot in Campton, Wolfe County, Kentucky.
I would be happy to pay any expenses involved.

Tin-Type Photos Wanted
Dear Editor:
I am putting together a collage of tin-type photos.
Several friends have given me some tin-type photos of their unknown ancestors, and along with my photos, I have a good start.
If any Kentucky Explorer readers have any of this type of photos, which they do not want, I would like to add them to my project.
I will acknowledge all donations.
