On June 19, 1918, George married John's sister, Dora Cardile Murray, at Cumberland Gap, Tennessee. Dora, born in 1901, was the daughter of Joshua Murray and Allie Lee. George was the son of Henry Terrell and Mary McKiddy. John, George Orson, and Dora were all from Whitley County, Kentucky. This photo was taken in the early 1900s, probably in Whitley County.
Stanley Tackett, 145 Willow Drive, Pikeville, KY 41501; [email protected], shares this photo of his parents, Taulby and Leona Tackett, taken ca. 1952, when they were dating or were first married. They are standing on the bridge at the mouth of Buck Tackett Hollow on Long Fork of Virgie in Pike County, Kentucky. Taulby was the son of the late Eli and Hilza Tackett. He died in February 2005. Leona was the daughter of the late Earl and Tallehassee Osborn. She died in 1961 at the young age of 24, leaving behind four children: Stanley, Shirley, Timmy, and Terry. Of the four children, three continue to live in Eastern Kentucky. Timmy was killed in an accident while working on the construction site of Route 80 in 1979.
Ronnie Gay, 15 Statute Lane, Oneida, KY 40972, shares this photo of his great-grandfather, John M. Gay. John was born April 10, 1872, on Squabble Creek, Perry County, Kentucky. It is believed that John was the son of Nelson and his first wife, Sarah Sally McIntosh Gay, and was the grandson of Joseph and Sallie Johnson Gay, and the great-grandson of Henry and Margaret Russell Gay. This photo was taken in Leslie County, Kentucky, in the 1930s.

George was born 11/17/1912 to George and Violete Prigge. He passed away on 8/12/1984. Frances was born 8/18/1914 in Mason County, Kentucky, to John Raymond and Rosa Ellen Breeze Stevens. They had Dr. G. Ray Prigge of Idaho Falls, Idaho; and Nancy Martin of Dry Ridge, Kentucky. They have six grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Frances lives at 345 Grantland Drive, Apt. 1, Dry Ridge, KY 41035.
