The Isaac Clore Family of Hebron, Boone County, Kentucky. Isaac Clore was born in Virginia in 1810 and married Mariah Anderson who was born in 1813. He was a carpenter and a farmer in Boone County. Marinda Maynard Elkins, also known as Aunt Ren Elkins, was born July 22, 1855, to Christopher" Kit" and Eva Shockey Maynard of Lower Brushy Creek in Pike County, Kentucky. She married Jefferson Elkins, and they lived three miles below the fork of Brushy Creek at Johns Creek. Shown in this photo are family and friends gathered at Aunt Ren's funeral in January 1920, which took place at the burial site at the William and Caroline (Aunt Ren's sister) Keesee place located near the mouth of the Right Fork of Brushy Creek in Pike County. Betty McQueen, 130 Ruben Branch Road, #2, Bledsoe, KY 40810, shares this photo of her grandmother, Chleo Philpot Gross, taken in the late 1940s, possibly in Laurel County, Kentucky. Chleo was born in 1901. She was the sister of Charlie Philpot. Chleo was married to John Orvil Gross (1900-1973). They were the parents of Kenneth, Kelly, Orvil, Babe, Fred, William, Lester, Lloyd, James, Ruby, Charles, John D., and Floyd.
