Virgle L. Chappell, 1301 Rockwood Drive, Edmond, OK 73013, shares this photo and writes: "My ancestor, Harvey Hamilton, with his wife, Lydia (Smith) and several other family members moved from eastern Tennessee to Monroe County, Kentucky, ca. 1826. Harvey and Lydia were parents to three girls and four boys: Sarah, Ann, Robert, Jarrett, Joseph, Lydia, and Harvey. Harvey, Sr., died about 1845, and after that date, the family was found in northern Missouri, with the exception of the oldest son, Robert W. H. Hamilton, who stayed in Monroe County with his wife, Mary Ann Birge. They had seven children: Cyrilda, Lydia, Nancy, Harvey, William, James, and Sarah. Several, if not all, of their children married in Monroe County. I would like very much to make contact with any of the descendants of Robert and Mary Ann." This photo is of the family of Jarrett Hamilton (Virgle's great-grandfather) taken in Sullivan County, Missouri, ca. 1905. (Names spelled as submitted.)

The J. A. Sanders Distillery near Ollie, Edmonson County, Kentucky, ca. 1913. James Artie Sanders (1891-1918), owner of the distilling establishment at this time is shown third from left. The plaque, standing in front of the elderly gentleman, is probably the license to operate the still. Others in the photo are not identified. (Photo courtesy of Garland K. Childress.)
