Each month, The Kentucky Explorer magazine receives literally scores of letters from our faithful readers. Among those letters we often find queries, ranging from requests for words to songs and poems to trying to locate former classmates and military buddies of long ago. Here are a few queries from October 2005
Searching For Sizemore Family Singers Dear Editor: I am wondering if any Kentucky Explorer readers could help locate the Gordon Sizemore family of singers. Gordon, the father, played the guitar and sung with his daughters, "Doc" and "Betty," over KFAB in Lincoln, Nebraska, for a number of years (1936-1950s). Their theme song was about "riding up the trail into their Kentucky mountain home." The daughters would now be in their 60s and Gordon would be 90 or more. I know they moved back to Kentucky, when and where I do not know. Any help would be appreciated. Richard Chamberlin 117 Maplewood Drive Lancaster, KY 40444
