This photo was possibly taken in the Danville, Boyle County, Kentucky, area in the early 1900s. In the second row, peeking out, standing beside the lady in the front row with the dark ribbon on her dress, is Nellie Cleveland Reed Swisshelm. Nellie was born in 1883 and was named for President Cleveland's wife. She was a Presbyterian and did not marry until she was 65 years old. She possibly lived in Junction City in 1920. She died in Titusville, Florida, in 1982 and is buried in Danville. Having no children of her own, she adopted her nephew, John.
