The Children Of George Washington and Jane Speak Ball of Lee County, Virginia. Photo taken around 1885. Front row (l-r): Nicholas "Nick" Ball (born 1842, married Abigail Whitt) and Frances "Fannie" Ball Taylor (1840-1919) of Richmond, Madison County, Kentucky. Back row (l-r): James Timothy Ball (1846-1931) of Harlan County; Rebecca Ball Lickliter (born 1850), the wife of Joseph Lickliter; and probably Harriett Taylor, the mother-in-law of Fannie Ball Taylor. Nick Ball donated a covered wagon to Levi Jackson State Park at London, Laurel County. Fannie was a midwife and a member of the Eastern Star organization. She is buried in the Pine Hill Cemetery at Corbin. The submitter is the great-granddaughter of Fannie Ball Taylor and would enjoy hearing from any descendants of this family.
