Bluegrass Musicians Leonard Rutherford and Dick Burnett

Leonard Rutherford (left) and Dick Burnett, both noted musicians from Monticello, Wayne County, played together for 35 years. Rutherford, an orphan, was taken in by Burnett, who taught him how to play music. Rutherford died in 1954, after suffering an epileptic seizure. He was one of the best fiddle players ever.
