Each month, The Kentucky
Explorer magazine receives literally scores of letters from
our faithful readers. Among those letters we often find queries,
ranging from requests for words to songs and poems to trying
to locate former classmates and military buddies of long ago.
Here are a few queries from

Ice House
Once Located In Scottsville, Allen County
Dear
Editor:
I am looking for anything related to the Ice House in Scottsville,
Allen County, Kentucky, such as photos, ice picks, and ice cards.
Does anyone have a story about the ice delivery man John Robert
Elmore, aka Bob Elmore? He was my great-grandfather.
I have been told the Wagon Wheel is located where the Ice House
once stood in Scottsville. I was also told it was near the old
depot.

Dear

I would like information on the books Nobody Listens to Grandma,
Growing Up Without A Mother, and Hard Times by Rena Fouts of
Cumberland, Kentucky. I am also interested in the poem Thanksgiving
